Is This Real?

I was lost and I was afraid,
I was dead inside,
Until that day
You walked toward me,
And I stood there,
I looked like a fool,
But I didn't care
The smile on your face,
Left me gasping, all my breath left me...
A voice inside, suddenly cried:
Is this real?
Or is it just a dream?

Is this real?
The look you give,
When you look at me,
Looking right through everyone,
Like I am the only one you see...
Is this real?
The feelings inside that I feel,
I see you return them,
And it breaks my will
You make me feel alive..
When I thought I had died..
This must be real...

I stroked your hair,
As you held me there,
As you cried against my chest,
You chose me over all the rest
You thought I was the best...
And we looked like such fools,
In the middle of the room,
But nobody seemed to see

I could have sworn that I had died...
This must be real....

Everyday brings it's changes,
And some of these changes hurt
But through everything that's happened,
We have never drifted apart
Holding on to what we need, and what we mean...
This is the most real, dream I have ever seen...

Is this real?
This woman who stands here next to me,
Who smiles at me,
And sweeps me off my feet
Is this real?
This love that has found me, I cannot change,
I can't let it go, there's just no way!
Is this real?
